Chinese high jumper Zhu Jianhua and seven Romanians, led by 1984 Olympic 3,000-meter gold medalist Maricica Puica, will participate in the Mobil Indoor Championships at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 27.

Zhu won the bronze in the Los Angeles Olympic Games and has the fifth-best jump in history at 7 feet 10 inches.

Stefka Kostadinova, the world record-holder in the women’s high jump, leads the six Bulgarians who have entered the meet. Kostadinova has cleared 6-8 indoors and 6-9 3/4 outdoors. She is the reigning European champion and won the World Cup in 1985.
