South African authorities barred cameras from recording the five-day visit there of former CBS anchorman Walter Cronkite. He said Monday he planned to meet prominent South Africans, including government and opposition leaders, but the government issued him a restricted visa that apparently prevents CBS News from filming his interviews and travels. Cronkite flew to Johannesburg from Australia, where he had covered the America’s Cup yacht race.
