San Diego College Baseball : Turnipseed Leads UCSD to 21-6 Win

Glen Turnipseed hit a grand slam and a two-run homer to pace UC San Diego to a 21-6 win over Christ College Irvine Tuesday at Irvine. Turnipseed was 5 for 6 with 9 runs batted in and Brian Rude was 4 for 6 with 3 RBIs.

Starter Rick Nowak (3-0) pitched five innings for the victory.

UCSD is 4-3. Christ College is 0-6.

Point Loma Nazarene 17, Redlands 1--A.J. Napier hit a two-run home run and Curtis Burton hit a solo homer, both during an eight-run first-inning, to help carry the Crusaders (3-4) at Redlands. Point Loma scored in every inning of the seven-inning game except the fifth and had 21 hits.
