A five-alarm fire raged through an abandoned warehouse and part of a paper products company in Detroit, killing three firefighters, injuring at least six others and snarling evening traffic. Flames continued to leap out of the gutted warehouse less than five miles from downtown about seven hours after the blaze began. Officials said the fire was deliberately set. “It’s the worst tragedy that anyone can remember for 30 years,” Deputy Fire Commissioner Phillip Gorak said.
