L istings and commentary for Week 2 of the American Film Institute Film Festival of Los Angeles, which runs through March 26:
TUESDAY
“Little Revenge” (Venezuela, 1986, 12:30 p.m.). In a small, repressive Latin American nation, young Pedro discovers his parents are “subversives.” Not old enough to comprehend the full implication of this new-found information, he nonetheless concocts his minor blow against the military. Writer-director Olegario Barrera maintains too modest a pose and too leisurely a stance to succeed fully with his little allegory.
