Tommy Perez of Santa Ana will defend his California super-welterweight title against Derrick Kelly of Inglewood April 8 at the Spruce Goose complex in Long Beach. Perez (15-2) will be making his first title defense. Kelly is 14-1. Also on the card, Dave (Gypsy Red) Yonko of Long Beach will fight a six-round heavyweight bout against Jim Ashard of Portland, Ore.
