In regard to the letter of Darrel E. Ingers of Huntington Beach about the sins of the audience at the recent American Ballet Theatre “Sleeping Beauty” performance (Saturday Letters, March 14), I have only this comment.
Yes, it is true that some of us from Bakersfield were talking during the ABT’s performance. We were trying to explain to the audience from Huntington Beach what ballet is, that “Sleeping Beauty” was not the name of a horse, and why the dancers were not singing.
