James L. Doti, dean of Chapman College’s School of Business and Management, has been appointed to a new position on the board of directors of CIMCO.
The appointment enlarges the Costa Mesa-based thermoplastic components maker’s board to seven members.
Doti, 40, has been a faculty member at the private college in Orange since 1974. He was named dean of the business school in September, 1985. He also is a professor of economics at the school and is the founder of Chapman College’s Center for Economic Research.
In a prepared statement, CIMCO said the appointment “would greatly enhance the company’s ability to plan for future corporate growth and should stimulate the mutually advantageous exchange of business-oriented information between CIMCO and the local college community.”
