The nation’s largest banking company is turning over results of an internal investigation to the FBI for possible embezzlement charges, a company spokesman said. Citicorp’s investigation revealed possible “misuse of company funds by certain employees,” spokesman James E. O’Donnell said. O’Donnell, while saying the amount of money involved is yet to be determined. He added that high-level employees were not involved. He also said the investigation involves the company’s mortgage division, known as Citicorp Person-to-Person, headquartered in Town and Country, Mo.
