Torrance : Condo Project Approved

The City Council unanimously approved an 87-unit condominium project to replace a mobile home park at 5500 Torrance Blvd.
Tenants of the 43 units will be given six months notification and relocation payments ranging from $7,500 to $10,000 per person.
The development will include two- and three-story buildings with 215 parking spaces, mostly underground. Original plans for the project called for a 10-story high-rise that neighbors opposed.
