Beverly Hills-based Hilton Hotels Corp. posted a 38% increase in profit for the quarter ended March 31 and a 23% rise in revenue. Occupancy in hotels rose to 66% from 62% in the first quarter of 1986. Although Nevada gaming occupancy declined modestly to 86%, compared to 88% a year ago, occupancy in Australia improved to 72% from 59%, a spokesman said.
