OCC Reaches Finals in Two Rowing Races

Orange Coast College qualified for two finals during the second-round heats of the 85th annual Intercollegiate Rowing Assn. Regatta Friday on Onondaga Lake at Syracuse, N.Y.
OCC, which won its heat in the junior varsity eights in 6 minutes 52 seconds, will join Yale, Princeton, Brown, Penn and Wisconsin in the final today.
In the open fours, OCC (7:31) qualified for today’s final by finishing second in its heat behind Wisconsin (7:30). OCC will race Harvard, Princeton, Georgetown and Navy in the final.
