Aging Reagan
An excellent report by Jack Nelson (July 13) mentions Reagan staff advisers describing the President as “finally showing his age,” and “he’s an old man, just too old to be President--he gets exhausted too easily and you can’t hold his attention.”
It further describes his frustration over Iran- contra situation, his loss of credibility, poor showing in the polls and his general dispirited mood.
Could this be the opening ploy to prepare the people for Reagan’s later “resignation due to poor health?”
