Lloyd Helps Strings Defeat Miami Beach

John Lloyd won both sets he played Saturday night to lead the Los Angeles Strings to a 26-16 victory over the Miami Beach Breakers in the final match of the TeamTennis regular season before 1,266 at the Forum.
Lloyd teamed with Eliot Teltscher to defeat Andy Kohlberg and Matt Mitchell in men’s doubles, 6-1, and teamed with Anne White to defeat Kohlberg and Sandy Collins in mixed doubles, 6-3.
The Strings (6-8) finished fifth in the six-team league. Miami Beach (8-6) was third and will play the San Antonio Racquets in the first round of the playoffs next week.
