Influence of Wine Writers
Thank you for the excellent articles revealing the impact of wine writers on the purchasing habits of consumers. While it is not explicitly stated, the most important thing for those that will buy wine consistently over time is to identify what characteristics they like themselves and then try to find a writer who has the same palate as they do! That’s why wine reviewers who describe the wines accurately in understandable terms are the most useful. I have subscribed to all the newsletters discussed in the articles and my consistent favorite is “The California Grapevine” written by Nicholas Ponomaresf.
By the way, one must go to a wine tasting/dinner to appreciate just how pompous and arrogant Chroman really is. He will not be missed by me.
