CBS has canceled--but not forgotten--its new version of Rod Serling’s “Twilight Zone” television anthology. Viewer mail protesting the show’s cancellation midway through last season has prompted the network to take the unprecedented step of producing new episodes for syndication. Because networks can’t syndicate shows domestically, CBS will partner with MGM-UA Telecommunications for national sales, but will sell internationally alone, a CBS spokesman said.
