Both the state heavyweight and middleweight amateur kick-boxing titles will be at stake Saturday when Benny The Jet’s Martial Arts Center stages an eight-bout amateur night.
Defending heavyweight champion Kerry Wilson (2-0, two knockouts) of Laguna Beach is expected to weigh 230 pounds when he takes on 250-pound challenger Fred Jones (5-0, all five by knockout) of Ontario in a four-round match.
Middleweight champion Jesse Romero (12-0, 10 knockouts) of San Fernando will meet Raul Reyes (8-0, four knockouts) of Bakersfield, also in a four-rounder.
Doors at the Jet Center, at 14540 Friar St. in Van Nuys, open at 7 p.m. The first bout is scheduled for 8 p.m.
