Prime Minister Giovanni Goria’s revived five-party coalition won a confidence vote in the Italian Senate, a week after it collapsed in an economic policy dispute. After a two-day debate, the Senate approved the Goria government by a vote of 170-109. There were no abstentions. A vote is expected in the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of Parliament, early this week. The alliance of Christian Democrats, Socialists, Social Democrats, Republicans and Liberals has a comfortable majority in both houses. Goria, a Christian Democrat who took office 3 1/2 months ago, resigned Nov. 14 after the small Liberal Party pulled out of the coalition in a dispute over the proposed 1988 budget. Goria later withdrew his resignation.
