Canada Protests U.S. Ban on Fish Imports

MONTREAL — The United States is violating international trade rules by imposing an extensive embargo on certain fish imports from Canada’s Atlantic Maritime Provinces, Canadian Transport Minister John Crosbie said Thursday.
Canada has lodged a protest with the State Department over the embargo, which was imposed by the Commerce Department last Oct. 1.
