Ireland to Ratify Anti-Terror Pact

DUBLIN, Ireland — Prime Minister Charles Haughey announced today that Ireland will ratify a European anti-terrorism treaty Dec. 1, making it easier to extradite Irish terrorism suspects to Britain.
Haughey’s announcement to the Dail, or Parliament, appeared to clear up what had threatened to become a serious row with Britain over the Irish Republic’s commitment to combatting the Irish Republican Army.
