A 23-year-old Huntington Beach man was robbed in the parking lot of a Fountain Valley store, authorities said Monday.
The victim, who was not identified by police, was reportedly pushed to the ground by three men at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, as he walked from his car to Homeclub Inc., 16061 Brookhurst St. Police Sgt. Larry Griswold said. The man then ran back to his car, where one of the suspects pulled out a knife and demanded money, he said.
The Huntington Beach man received a two-inch cut on his right palm when he attempted to grab the knife, and his left wrist also was injured when the car door closed on it during a struggle for his keys, police said.
The suspects took $45 from the man and drove away in a late-model white car, Griswold said.
No suspects are in custody, he said.
