Meet Mc-Mc-McMickey

What do you get when you cross Ronald McDonald, Mickey Mouse and Max Headroom? How about Little Richard?
The 1950s rock ‘n roll star will be featured this week in a new Southern California ad campaign--”Blast to the Past”--which promotes three huge advertisers at the same time. The spot for McDonald’s, Disneyland and Coca-Cola will feature Little Richard sitting on top of a larger-than-life jukebox.
The promotion was created by the Los Angeles firm Davis, Johnson, Mogul & Colombatto Advertising Inc., the same company whose Mac Tonight commercial went national for McDonald’s. Little Richard will sing, but it won’t be “Long Tall Sally.” Meanwhile, in the ad campaign that will follow, watch for Long Tall Mickey decked out in McDonald’s sunglasses.
