Coca-Cola and Pepsico have been forced to change their contracts with NutraSweet Co. as exclusive European suppliers of aspartame because they restricted competition, the European Economic Community’s Commission decided. NutraSweet, an American company, is the world’s largest producer of aspartame, a low-calorie, artificial sweetener used in soft drinks.
