Don’t count on Wilson to support your plea. As pointed out in the “News in Brief” page of the same edition of The Times, Wilson “was the leading money raiser” of the 27 senators seeking reelection in 1988--$6.65 million so far.
No wonder Wilson has consistently voted against S 2 which would limit such obscene fund-raising.
