Mine Sinks Trawler in English Channel

PORT-EN-BESSIN, France — A French fishing trawler sank in the English Channel on Sunday when its fishermen netted a World War II mine and it exploded, the French Coast Guard said.
Nobody was hurt in the blast, which shattered the hull of La Minette, forcing the four crewmen to take to lifeboats. They were picked up off the Normandy coast by another trawler.
