Barry Manilow, the composer-singer-arranger-entertainer, Emmy and Tony winner, puts his many talents to work on a musical-variety special Monday night on CBS (10-11 p.m., Channels 2 and 8).
“Barry Manilow: Big Fun on Swing Street” will feature a variety of musical styles performed by Manilow and his guests, who include Carmen McRae, Gerry Mulligan, Stanley Clarke, Full Swing, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Dana Robbins, Phyllis Hyman, Diane Schuur and Tom Scott.
Manilow wrote four new songs for the show, his first network special in eight years.
