U.S. District Judge John Pratt said at a hearing that he will impose sanctions Monday against Eastern Airlines for violating a court order barring the company from trying to sell its shuttle service to its parent company, Texas Air. Eastern officials also will be required to appear before the court in about two weeks to explain what they have done to comply with the court order. Pratt would not elaborate on what the sanctions might be. On March 10, Pratt found the Miami-based carrier in contempt for trying to sell its profitable shuttle service to its parent company, Texas Air Corp., for $225 million. Eastern plans to appeal the order.
