Freeze Lifted
The League of Women Voters of Los Angeles County applauds the recent unanimous vote by the Board of Supervisors to lift the hiring freeze on Children’s Service workers. The hiring of additional workers to ease the serious overloads on caseworkers and the addition of clerical staff will begin to alleviate some of the problems plaguing the Department of Children’s Services.
The League is supportive of manageable caseloads and sufficient personnel to deliver quality services to the children of this county. This action by the board is a move in the right direction.
