Sara Lee Corp. posted record sales and earnings for the third quarter. Net income rose 23.7% to $77 million from the same period last year. Sales rose to $2.48 billion from $2.24 billion. Unit volume and market share gains in key product categories helped produce the record quarter, the Chicago-based food and apparel concern said.
