Ballplayers Sought for Charity Games

Today is the last day to sign up to play in a charity baseball tournament that will take place May 14 at Valley College.
The tournament is being held to raise money for Los Angeles-area drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs for teen-agers.
The tournament sponsor is MVP Sports, a San Fernando Valley-based fund-raising group. The event is one of a series of charity baseball tournaments planned over the next six months.
Volunteer umpires and scorekeepers also are needed.
