ART OF EAST L.A.

It is not often that we Hispanics get such nice coverage of some of our cultural offerings. Usually they only write about gangs, illegal aliens, poverty, et cetera. So you can imagine how refreshing it is to read a most enjoyable, factual and sympathetic article on Latino artists and entertainers. They are getting acclaim in foreign climes but not here in their hometown. I hope this condition will change rapidly and promptly. Alan Weisman’s article is a step in the right direction.
