Faith Baptist High has played 18 innings against Bel-Air Prep pitcher Ronnie Jensen and is still looking for its first earned run.
The Crusaders, who were held to three hits and two unearned runs by Jensen on April 15, were shut out, 3-0, by the right-hander on three hits Saturday in a Delphic League playoff game at Santa Monica High.
Bel-Air (19-6-1) clinched the league’s third playoff berth with the win. Faith Baptist (14-9) will find out Monday if it has been selected for an at-large berth in the Southern Section 1-A playoffs.
Jensen, a junior right-hander, allowed three singles, two of them infield hits, in notching his eighth victory against two defeats. He struck out six, walked two and allowed only one runner to reach second base until the seventh.
