American Legion Post 291 will sponsor the 30th annual Memorial Day ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m. at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive in Newport Beach. Retired Brig. Gen. William (Art) Bloomer, former commander of the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station, will deliver the keynote address. The guests will include Councilwoman Evelyn R. Hart of Newport Beach, Mayor Donn Hall of Costa Mesa and Walter Ehlers, a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor.
