Community Care Center to Open

The grand opening of a church-sponsored community care center to serve the Saddleback Valley is being observed today with a series of seminars for women and on Sunday with a dedication ceremony at the center, Suite 305-6, 22622 Lambert St., El Toro.
The care center, a nonprofit project of Mission Hills Christian Center, will operate on an ongoing basis by offering food and clothing for the temporarily needy, as well as periodic seminars on topics of special interest to women.
Sunday’s dedication, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., features a tour of the center, hors d’oeuvres, music and talks by county Supervisor Gaddi H. Vasquez, Salvation Army representative Ken Bricknell and the Rev. Roger Story.
Today’s seminars, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will cover such topics as women’s health, child-raising and the use of clothing accessories.
