Giant Group Ltd. reported that negotiations for the sale of its cement businesses have collapsed. The Beverly Hills-based company, which is controlled by investor Burt Sugarman, said it was unable to reach final agreement with Environmental Treatment & Technologies Corp. of Findlay, Ohio, but didn’t elaborate on why the talks faltered. The cement companies to be sold were Giant Cement Co. of Harleyville, S.C., and Keystone Cement Co of Bath, Pa.
