Bridgford Foods reported a 12% increase in net income for the second quarter ended April 29, to $538,483 from $480,494 a year earlier. Sales rose 3%, to $14.3 million from $13.9 million in last year’s comparable quarter. For the first half of fiscal 1988, the company posted net income of $1 million, 20% higher than the $845,803 reported in the first six months last year. Sales increased 3%, to nearly $29 million from $28.2 million. Bridgford Foods, Anaheim, is a producer of frozen bread dough, processed meats and other convenience food products.
