Candidates Clash in First TV Debate

Bush, the man who has been standing around like a cigar store Indian for eight years, appeared at the debate looking and acting like Captain Queeg. His nervous distortion of the facts and attempts to cover the blunders of the Administration were bad enough, but his inane remarks like “a thousand lights” and “it’s Christmas” left one wondering, is this man presidential?
After an hour I fully expected him to reach in his pocket for two steel balls.
