Local News in Brief : Man Shot to Death in Pacoima Parking Lot

A 30-year-old man was shot to death Tuesday at a Pacoima housing project, police said.
Rudy Ruiz, of Pacoima, was shot several times in the upper body about 4:30 a.m. in a parking lot at San Fernando Gardens in the 11000 block of Norris Avenue, Detective Al Ferrand said.
Ruiz managed to knock on an apartment door, but collapsed after the resident answered. He died at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley in Sun Valley.
Ferrand said there were no suspects in the slaying. He said investigators believe the shooting was drug-related, but he declined to elaborate.
