Baxter Ward, who is opposing Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich in the November election, will speak at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the headquarters of the San Fernando Valley Democratic Party, 9140 Van Nuys Blvd., Suite 213, Panorama City. The talk is open to the public.

Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) has been endorsed in his reelection bid by the National Assn. of Police Organizations, which represents 80,000 police officers nationwide.
