Chula Vista Police Probe Man’s Death

Chula Vista police are investigating the suspicious death of an unidentified man whose partially clothed body was discovered along in the 1000 block of Paseo Ladera.
According to a police spokeswoman, a person walking in the area at about 8:45 a.m. Saturday found the body lying face down in bushes about a quarter of a mile north of Telegraph Canyon Road.
The victim was described as possibly a 25- to 30-year-old Hispanic, and was clad in gray slacks, shoes and gray socks and no shirt.
Police said that when officers arrived and turned the body over, they saw what appeared to be injury to the face. There was no identification with the body, and no weapon was found.
