Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center plans to open a satellite walk-in clinic Tuesday in the new community of Rancho Santa Margarita.

Roy King, Mission Hospital’s director of marketing, said the clinic, in 3,000 square feet of leased office space at 29941 Aventura, will be staffed full time by a doctor and nurse Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“As we go along we will have specialty physicians from Mission Hospital who will be available by appointment at the clinic,” King said.

King said that the clinic--which is the first of its kind in the growing south county community--will be equipped to handle minor emergencies, general family medical care, blood testing and laboratory services, X-rays and immunizations.
