Apartment to Remember

Our thanks to Jerry Hulse for the name of Roth-Ray, Studio Halles, Le Marais, 10, Rue Nicolas Flamel, 75004 Paris. It got us a lovely three-room apartment on Rue de Sevres for 600 Francs (about $100 U.S.) a day. It also included a lovely tray of “goodies” when we arrived. The neighborhood was lovely and the neighborhood restaurants were reasonable. About $35 to $45, including wine.
We never experienced any of the so-called French rudeness. In fact, people were very polite and helpful. However, a little French is essential in order to get cooperation. This was the greatest vacation we ever took in 18 years of traveling overseas. We attribute it to having this lovely apartment.
