Maytag Corp. said it intends to sell the furniture companies it acquired with the Jan. 26 purchase of Chicago Pacific Corp. The five companies to be sold include Brown Jordan Furniture, an El Monte-based maker of outdoor aluminum patio furniture, and McGuire Furniture of San Francisco, Maytag said. The companies to be sold had combined sales of about $254 million last year.
