. . . In John Waters’ soon-to-shoot ‘50s musical, “Cry Baby”--about a gang called The Drapesone of the Drape-ettes is called Mona (Hatchet-Face) Malnorowski. Casting materials explain the nickname: “She’s got the body of Jayne Mansfield and the face of Margaret Hamilton.” Oh yeah, and “nobody, but nobody, gives her grief.”
. . . Whoops . . . In a recent item about Stephen M. Silverman’s upcoming bio, “David Lean,” we forgot to mention that it will be published by Harry N. Abrams Inc. publishers.
. . . And now, for galaxy-size budgets, there’s “Star Trek: The Enterprise Card” (seriously!), a MasterCard from Associates National Bank in Bellaire, Tex., bearing the image of the USS Enterprise.
