Bonita Vista 9, Mt. Miguel 1--Bonita Vista led, 9-0, after four innings. Sophomore John Solomon pitched six innings and allowed three hits in his first start. Jim Ilusorio was three for four with two RBIs for Bonita Vista (4-5).
Point Loma 17, Kearny 8--Bob Simoneau was three for four with a double and two singles for Point Loma (2-6). Teammate Marcus Brown had a double and a single. Mel Shanley was the winner (2-1). Kearny is 1-7.
Crawford tournament
Mira Mesa 14, La Jolla 0--Mira Mesa (6-0) scored seven runs in the first, and La Jolla (2-4) managed just three hits.
Morse 9, Crawford 6--Aaron Terry was two for two with four RBIs, and Mike Romero was two for three and drove in the winning run for Morse (4-2) at home.
Serra 4, Clairemont 2--Raul Castillo struck out five and allowed three hits and two unearned runs for Serra (4-2) at Clairemont. Sean Kerr pitched the seventh for his second save, and sophomore Jeff Chamberlain was two for three.
Christian 8, University City 7--Jamie Anglin had the save for Christian (2-5) in the seventh. Anglin was one for three with three RBIs. Chad Savage was two for four with a double and an RBI. Scott Clark was two for two with an RBI for University City (1-5). Teammate Ryan Shankles was two for three with a double. Dave Piester was the winner (1-0).
Pirate tournament
Fallbrook 24, El Camino 8--Clint Miller hit a three-run home run for Fallbrook in the second inning. Miller added two doubles and had a total of five RBIs. Dirk Fisher, who was three for four with three RBIs, added a three-run homer in the third. The victory qualified Fallbrook (5-1) for the tournament championship, which will be played after Easter. El Camino is 1-4.
