Asian Appliance Market Growing, Report Says

TOKYO — The home appliance market in the newly industrialized economies in Asia grew at an annual rate of 19% in the past several years, prompted by accelerating horizontal division of labor, an industry report said.
The Japan Electrical Manufacturers’ Assn. said the report was based on a survey of 10 countries in Asia--South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and India.
