USAir Cuts Some Fares: USAir said it has implemented discount fares for flights from Southern California to Sacramento, although the availability of all of the fares may vary from flight to flight on the same routes. The carrier introduced a new $258, round-trip fare for the Sacramento to Los Angeles, Burbank, Orange County or San Diego routes that doesn’t require advanced purchase. Previously, the only fare available on short notice was $378. USAir also reduced to $128 from $138, its seven-day, non-refundable fare for the routes and added a new one-day advance purchase, non-refundable round-trip fare of $148.
