The defending champion UC Irvine sailing team finished third to Old Dominion and Navy in the Intercollegiate Yacht Racing Assn. national championships last weekend off Chicago.
Skipper Jon Pinckney and crewman Mike Sturman were fourth in Division A, and Jamie Malm and crew Nick Scandone and Geoff Becker were third in Division B.
The Anteater women’s team finished eighth, and Julie Norman and Yvonne Heisler were second in Division B.
