LeRon Ellis, a starting forward for the University of Kentucky last season, will visit UCLA today and Thursday, Mater Dei High School Coach Gary McKnight said.
Ellis, who led Mater Dei to Southern Section titles in 1986 and 1987, played two seasons at Kentucky but the school was put on probation this spring, allowing players to transfer without losing a year of eligibility.
Ellis, who is 6-foot-10 and 235 pounds, has visited Las Vegas and Syracuse. He averaged a team-high 16 points for Kentucky last season. He also averaged 5.5 rebounds.
