LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — San Diego Chargers quarterback David Archer received a 10-day suspended jail sentence after pleading no contest to a charge of drunk driving, according to Gwinnett County court records.
Archer was fined $400 Wednesday by Recorder’s Court Chief Judge Robert Rodatus, was assessed a $40 court fee and was ordered to attend traffic school.
The 27-year-old Archer was charged with driving under the influence after being stopped the morning of June 30. He was released from the county jail later that day after posting a $1,050 bond, according to records.
Archer, who formerly played for the Atlanta Falcons, lives in Norcross, a northeast suburb of Atlanta.
